Canadian business travelers can access Fast Track Services to join the APEC Business Travel program and fast track passport control and immigration in 21 countries. Fast Track Services is a world specialist in global passport control fast track programs. The APEC Business Travel Card is available to accredited Canadian business travelers and government officials who are Canadian citizens involved in bone fide business in the APEC region and who are members of the NEXUS Trusted Traveler program. Fast Track Services will handle the enrollment into both NEXUS and the APEC program if an applicant is not already a member of NEXUS ( at no extra charge save for the Canadian government fee of $50). Applicants must hold a valid visa to the country they are traveling to and at least 6 months validity on their passport; expedited visa appointments are available for Canadian ABTC holders; Applicants must have a clean immigration, customs and criminal record in order to apply.
The ABTC (APEC Business Travel Card) card must be used in connection with a passport. It is valid for 3 years and has the following advantages:
- Multiple short term entry for a minimum stay of 59 days (and can be up to 60–90 days)
- Expedited border crossing in all member economies
In order to qualify for ABTC membership, Fast Track Services will file an application for NEXUS if the applicant is not aready a member - there is no extra charge for this service save for the government fee for background and security checks. Applicants will undergo background and security checks and must attend an interview at an enrollment center of their choice. Here, biometric data will be collected (photo, iris scan and fingerprints) and providing all checks prove that the applicant is a low risk traveler in good standing, they will receive both membership cards within 7 to 10 days. The process takes up to 12 weeks to reach the interview stage.
NEXUS is a Trusted Traveler program initiative of the Canada Border Services Agency that allows expedited entry into the United States and Canada by land, sea and air for pre-approved, low-risk travelers. Each membership card is valid for 5 years. Applicants must be in possession of either a machine-readable passport or Canadian permanent resident card and must have a clean immigration, customs and criminal record. Existing NEXUS member need only provide their NEXUS membership details in order for Fast Track Services to for an ABTC membership. They will only make two payments; the Fast Track Services fee and the ABTC fee.
Fast Track Services specializes in the checking and processing of ABTC applications. We are a private company and are not related to any government agency. We cannot affect the outcome of your ABTC membership. If you are not already a member of the NEXUS program we will enroll you automatically.

STEP 4: Fast Track Services checks and processes your application and sends you details on how to check your application progress
STEP 5: Receive confirmation, attend an interview and collect your cards at an enrolment centre of your choice.

Your ABTC membership is valid for 3 years from the date you receive your NEXUS membership card.
